Compound of Turkey Rhubarb and Ginger

Preparation:  Mix the powders thoroughly together until uniform.

Dosage:  Stir ¼-1/2 teaspoon of the compound powder into 2 fluid ounces of water; stir and drink, powder and all.  Children:  Do not give to infants under 5 because it is too powerfully a stimulant.

Hepatic

Preparation:  Mix thoroughly.

Dosage:  1 teaspoonful 2-3 times daily.

 

Menstrual problems (dysmenorrheal, amenorrhea)

Preparation:  When powders are used, stir 1 teaspoonful of the mix in 1 cupful of hot water, cover with a lid and steep 10 minutes.  When herbs are used, steep 1 ounce of the mixture in 1 pint of boiling hot water, cover and let stand 10 to 15 minutes; keep warm.

Dosage:  When powders are used, drink the cupful warm, leaving sediments; when the herbs are used, give 2 fluid ounces every 4 hours.

Gravel Kidney and Bladder problems

Preparation:  Mix thoroughly.  Infuse 2 ounces of powder in 1 quart of boiling hot water; cover and let stand until cool; strain.

Dosage:  3 Tablespoonfuls 4 to 5 times daily.

Bronchial Catarrh

Preparation:  Infuse the herbs in 1 quart of boiling hot water, cover tightly and keep warm for 20 minutes; strain, sweeten to taste; allow to cool, bottle and keep in a cool place.

Dosage:  1-2  tablespoons  3 to 4 times daily.
